Jaw grabs are very robust.  Each jaw is controlled by an independent hydraulic cylinder and the jaw teeth are mutually coupled. The strength of the material used for the grab is ST52.3. Replaceable elements – cutting edges on the jaws - are made of Hardox.  Jaws are stored in a special hardened cover which adds to the life expectancy. All pins are made of stainless steel heated to a high level and surface hardened. The connection is very resistant to shock and has outstanding durability.
